Abstract

This article explores the evolving role of the pharmacist in Canada, highlighting the increasing integration of technology into pharmacy practices and its impact on the quality of patient care. Research indicates that telemedicine and the use of monitoring apps have significantly increased accessibility and adherence to treatments, with studies showing that up to 75% of patients report greater satisfaction with pharmaceutical services when technology is applied (Blenkinsopp et al., 2018). Furthermore, the implementation of artificial intelligence has been shown to reduce potentially dangerous drug interactions by up to 40% (Chen et al., 2020). However, the digital transformation in pharmacology also brings ethical challenges and data privacy concerns that must be rigorously addressed.
